Story Regions is a European project about lifelong learning, about using storytelling as a tool to bring people together – within and between communities, within and between European regions. We believe that storytelling is a possibility to solve problems we have, and to contribute to a better society.
In Story Regions we want to explore the potential of oral storytelling as a tool for learning for different target groups in adult education and in social and cultural contexts. We focus on linguistic, interarctive, social, heritage, identify building, cultural and multicultural aspects of stories and storytelling and on its power to generate communication and belonging.
Story Regions is an Erasmus+ project between institutions and regions in five European countries: Belgium (Landcommanderij Alden Biesen), Germany (Q21), Italy (Centro Studi Holden), Poland (Teatr Grodzki) and Sweden (Region Västerbotten, project leader).
